The shirt represents a memorable campaign for the Bianconeri, who finished fourth in Serie B and secured promotion back to Serie A, sealing their return to the top flight with a 2–0 victory away to Ancona on the final day of the season.
The squad featured several notable names, led by Argentine striker Abel Balbo, alongside compatriot Néstor Sensini, experienced defender Andrea Mandorlini and midfielder Antonio Manicone. Balbo was one of the key attacking figures of the promotion campaign, while Sensini and Mandorlini provided the backbone of the side.
