The FC St. Pauli 1999–00 Home Retro Football Shirt recalls a challenging 2. Bundesliga campaign at the Millerntor. St. Pauli successfully remained in the second tier while also reaching the second stage of their DFB-Pokal campaign, defeating TSV 1860 Rosenheim before being eliminated by Bundesliga side SSV Ulm. The season also saw a managerial change, with Dietmar Demuth replacing Willi Reimann in March 2000.

Marcus Marin led the scoring with 12 goals, while a young Ivan Klasnić made 32 league appearances and scored eight times before later establishing himself as a Croatia international. The squad also featured future Germany international Christian Rahn, Zlatan Bajramović and long-serving St. Pauli figure Holger Stanislawski, giving the 1999–00 side an interesting collection of players who would become better known in the years that followed.

The shirt is instantly recognisable for its clean white body contrasted by a brown two-button polo collar, matching brown sleeve cuffs and distinctive brown side panels. Fine white piping highlights the sleeve and shoulder construction, while the prominent Jack Daniel’s sponsorship provides one of the shirt’s defining late-1990s visual features. Unlike the horizontally striped home design of the previous season, the 1999–00 shirt uses cleaner colour blocking, giving it a distinctive white-and-brown appearance closely associated with St. Pauli’s late-1990s era.

    Printing Position Recommendation
KLASNIĆ 17 Striker Best Printing Choice. A strong collector option from the early career of the future Croatia international, who scored eight league goals during the campaign.
MARIN 9 Striker The strongest choice based purely on 1999–00 performance, finishing as St. Pauli’s leading scorer with 12 goals.
STANISLAWSKI 21 Defender An outstanding club-identity choice given his long association with St. Pauli as both a player and later head coach.
RAHN 3 Left-Back / Midfielder An excellent early-career option from the future Germany international, who later appeared at the 2002 World Cup.
BAJRAMOVIĆ 15 Midfielder Another distinctive young-player choice from a future Bosnia and Herzegovina international.
POLUNIN 10 Midfielder A strong period-specific option; the Ukrainian midfielder scored four league goals and led the squad’s recorded assists.

    Best Printing Choice: KLASNIĆ 17

    Second Choice: MARIN 9

    Third Choice: STANISLAWSKI 21

We recommend KLASNIĆ 17 as the standout printing choice for the FC St. Pauli 1999–00 Home Retro Football Shirt. Still at the beginning of his professional career, Ivan Klasnić was already an important attacking player for St. Pauli, making 32 league appearances and scoring eight goals during the campaign. He would later establish himself at the highest level of German football and become a Croatia international, giving KLASNIĆ 17 an especially appealing early-career collector connection.

Our second recommendation is MARIN 9. Marcus Marin was St. Pauli’s leading scorer during the 1999–00 campaign with 12 goals, making his No.9 the strongest choice for collectors who prioritise performance in this specific season over later international recognition.
