Japan 2026 Away L/S Jersey
The Youth Japan 2026 Away Kit was created for Japan’s 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign and features one of the national team’s most distinctive modern away designs.
 
The shirt uses an off-white base with black detailing and a striking series of 12 multicoloured vertical stripes. The concept, “Colors Beyond the Horizon,” represents unity within Japanese football: 11 fading stripes symbolise the eleven players on the pitch, while the stronger central red stripe references the red sun of Japan’s national flag and represents the supporters at the heart of the team.
 
A Japanese flag sign-off appears at the back of the neck, while the contrasting black details give the colourful pinstripe design a clean finish. The youth version carries the same core visual identity as the senior 2026 away jersey.

    Japan entered the 2026 FIFA World Cup under Hajime Moriyasu after becoming the first nation other than the three hosts to qualify for the expanded 48-team tournament.

    At the finals, Japan progressed from the group stage and reached the Round of 32, where they faced five-time world champions Brazil. Japan took the lead but were eventually beaten 2–1, bringing their tournament to an end.

    The 2026 generation continued to feature many of the players who had established Japan as one of Asia’s strongest national teams, including Takefusa Kubo, Kaoru Mitoma, Ritsu Doan, Daichi Kamada, Ayase Ueda, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Hiroki Ito and Zion Suzuki. Against Brazil, Moriyasu started Suzuki in goal, with Tomiyasu and Ito in defence, Kamada and Kaishu Sano in midfield and Doan among the attacking players.

    The away shirt is particularly memorable because its design directly represents the team itself. Rather than using the traditional Samurai Blue colour as the dominant element, the off-white shirt brings together multiple colours to express the collective identity of players, supporters and Japanese football culture.
