The Chile 1995 Home L/S Retro Football Shirt recalls a transitional period for La Roja during the mid-1990s. Chile competed at the 1995 Copa América in Uruguay under Xabier Azkargorta, facing the United States, Argentina and Bolivia in a difficult group. Although the tournament ended at the group stage, the squad featured established figures including Iván Zamorano, Ivo Basay and Fabián Estay alongside a young Marcelo Salas, who was beginning to establish himself at international level.
 
The year offered an early glimpse of the attacking generation that would become more familiar to international supporters later in the decade. Zamorano was already one of Chile’s leading footballers, while the 20-year-old Salas scored against Mexico, Iceland and Canada during 1995. At the Copa América itself, Ivo Basay provided Chile’s standout individual scoring performance with both goals in the 2–2 draw against Bolivia.
 
The shirt is instantly recognisable for its traditional Chilean red body contrasted by a prominent white Polo-style collar and white cuff detailing. Distinctive blue-and-white patterned trim introduces additional colour around the collar and cuffs, bringing Chile’s red, white and blue identity together in a characteristically mid-1990s design. The long sleeves further emphasise the contrasting cuff treatment, giving this version a particularly strong period appearance and distinguishing it from the Chile shirts more commonly associated with the 1998 World Cup.
